Christine Beslow is a consumer bankruptcy attorney representing individuals experiencing financial hardships throughout Northern New Jersey, but particularly Essex County. Seeing the struggles people encounter on a daily basis emphasizes the importance of programs and charities that serve Essex County.

Mayuri Chandra has worked for arts organizations and museums for nearly fifteen years in Boston, New York, London. She is currently with the Newark Arts Education Roundtable in Newark, NJ managing a strategic alliance of arts education stakeholders to increase advocacy and opportunities for arts education for young people in Newark. She holds an M.A. in Arts Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Barbara A. Curran is first woman to serve in all three branches of NJ government. She was elected to the General Assembly for four terms, a member of the Cabinet for Governors Byrne and Kean and later appointed a Superior Court judge. She now concentrates on pro-bono work for non-profits, primarily for veterans and young people.

Sara Ann Erichson is a retired media executive having spent over thirty years at Nielsen, the media measurement company most well-known for its TV ratings. Now, in addition to her work with Impact100Essex, she is the current president of Congregation Shomrei Emunah – a Montclair synagogue. Sara Ann is also on the Leadership Council and the Advance Committee of Oxfam America – a non-profit dedicated to ending the injustice of poverty. She and her husband Howie are long-time Montclair residents and have two grown sons. Sara Ann received a B.A. in Anthropology from Harvard University.

Heather Evans has 20 years of experience working in nonprofits. Prior to this, she worked in commercial banking in St. Louis and New York. She’s a graduate of Wellesley College with Masters degrees from Cornell and Rutgers. Heather and her family have lived in Maplewood for over 20 years.

Margo Greenfield is a retired public service labor lawyer and former special counsel to the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice. She sits on the boards of Down the Block, The Mustard Seed Fund and St. Stephen's Preschool and has served as a longstanding volunteer and former president of the Interfaith Hospitality Network for the Homeless of Essex County. She brings interest and experience in labor and  employment, homelessness and community-based solutions.

Margarethe Laurenzi is the Chief Philanthropic Officer at the Community Foundation of New Jersey, where she leads initiatives that rely on philanthropic and nonprofit partners working together to address critical issues facing New Jersey residents. She also works to connect fundholders to causes essential to building more resilient communities. Earlier in her career, she raised funds for Rutgers University, and for nearly 20 years, led her own strategic and communications consulting practice for nonprofits and educational institutions. Active in her community, she has served on the boards of the Medical Needs Foundation and Jazz House Kids and is an engaged volunteer at her alma mater, Princeton. Margarethe is a fierce champion of women’s leadership in their communities through philanthropy and service.

Helen Mazarakis is a writer with a background in Community Development. She serves on the Board of the Community Foundation of NJ, the Newark Public Library Foundation and Brick Academy in Newark. Helen has lived in Montclair for 20 years and is navigating life with an empty nest.

Kerri McMahon has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for nearly 15 years. Most recently at Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, she served as a Global Strategist of Regulatory Affairs with a focus on new product development. In addition to her regulatory responsibilities during her tenure at Bayer Healthcare, she was a member of the Making Science Make Sense Steering Committee to help bring hands-on science education to elementary schoolchildren in surrounding communities. Kerri is a graduate of Williams College and lives in Montclair with her wife and three children.

Tia Morris is a lifelong New Jersey resident that has dedicated over 20 years to improving educational opportunities for young people. Tia was a classroom teacher, a founding member of a charter network, and has held senior central office positions for Newark Public Schools and the Camden City School District. She now serves as the Executive Director for the New Jersey region of Teach For America. Tia completed undergraduate studies at Seton Hall University and holds Masters degrees from The Bank Street Graduate School of Education and from Columbia University’s Teachers College. Tia is a Doctoral candidate at Columbia University and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Mindy Propper is the principal of the Antares Group, a boutique-consulting firm to non-profit organizations leveraging technology and effective process design to guide clients in actionable strategic plans, effective governance and organization structures and capacity building. Mindy transitioned into the nonprofit sector after 2 decades as a senior officer at KPMG Consulting (BearingPoint), advising The LEAGUE (now part of Points of Light) and the KIPP Foundation. Mindy currently serves as the Finance Chair on the Board of People’s Preparatory Charter School in Newark, NJ. She holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Fordham University and earned her BA from Franklin and Marshall College.

Cathy Rowe holds a doctorate from Columbia's Mailman School of Public Health. She has experience working with underserved communities and is currently working with a local healthy aging initiative. She lives in Maplewood with her husband and two sons.

Sunanda Sharma came to Short Hills with her family in 2007 via New Delhi, New York, Singapore and London. While raising her boys, she has worked in Development and Fundraising at Opportunity Project and SAGE Eldercare. Over the years, she volunteered her time in the community at various non-profit organizations. Her grandfather inspired her at a young age to champion for the less fortunate and she aspires to follow in his footsteps through philanthropy and service. She currently works at Atlantic Health Systems.

Kate Shoemaker is VP of New Site Development for Braven in Newark/NYC where she builds partnerships with Universities, Employers and Philanthropy. Previously, she served as Policy Director and Director of Special Projects for then-CEO Geoffrey Canada at the Harlem Children's Zone for 16 years. Kate has also worked in Newark as the Chief Operating Officer for the South Ward Children's Alliance. Kate and her husband live in Short Hills and she is the proud mama of two kids.

Risha Walden is the Principal Creative for Walden Interiors, an Interior Design Firm that focuses on Vegan Design. She has lived in New Jersey since 1997 and been involved in local community organizations such as The Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills, public school groups and The Summit Playhouse. Risha is dedicated to creating a better world through understanding, compassion and lifestyle.
